Hope Charitable Society (HCS) is helping poor and needy children with food, education, School supplies for their better future.
(1) Why did we start child Development Centers?
According to UNICEF Report 2017, India is home to 444 million 0-18 years olds, which is almost 20% of the world’s children population while progress is being made, there is a growing number of children effected by urbanization, migration as well as environmental disastrous such as drought, floods and etc.,.
According to the Times of India 2nd December 2018, the report reviews that by the time of enrolled in class 1 reach class 6, 1.5% of them leave school and only 74% of them get enrolled in class 8. After class 8th the dropout rate raises sharply. The report reveals that only 43% of students get enrolled in the higher secondary schools.
Especially in the poorer and rural areas children situation is very difficult because both parents have to work for living. Even though in most of the rural areas there would be a primary school or Government program, but parents are looking for some helping hands to care for their children in providing food, free tuition and protection so that poor parents can be confident of their children future. That is the area where Child Development Centers of Hope Charitable Society holding vital responsibility.
Hope Charitable Society established several child development centers in the rural and poorer villages and colonies. Hope Charitable Society has trained team of people for each center to organize responsibilities.
By seeing the condition of the children in poorer communities and in the backward villages, we have opened Child Care Centers/Child Development centers to provide free education, Food, Uniforms, Education Materials and etc.,. to encourage them for Education. We also bring awareness to parents about the importance of the Education. In order to facilitate this program, we have built own permanent facility in one place and in rest of other places, we are running Child Development centers in the rented facilities. We have appointed needful staff for each center to look after the welfare of the children and their education. There are also some Volunteers helping from the local community.
At present (As on June 2020) HCS is running 11 Child Development Centers for about 703 poor and needy children.
Through Child development centers, children are encouraged to attend schools regularly. Parents also happy that their children are given good food, free tuition, education supplies and safety.
